Brewery Tours

Not just for wine lovers, New York’s Finger Lakes region is home to a number of award-winning craft breweries. In fact, there are over 75 breweries along the Finger Lakes Beer Trail and even more throughout Central New York.  The region produces over 20,00 barrels a year from small farm-based nanobreweries to cutting-edge microbreweries.  We often visit breweries and wineries in the same tour, making for a truly nuanced experience.

Here are just a few of our favorite spots...

Grist Iron Brewing Co.

Opened in the spring of 2015, Grist Iron Brewing Company joined a growing league of fine craft beer artisans along the shores of Seneca Lake, NY.  Food is important so along with a fantastic craft beer selection, made by brewer and co-owner Patrick Palmer, artisanal pizzas serve as the foundation for the pub-style menu using as many fresh, local ingredients as possible.  Grist Iron Brewing Company hand crafts only the finest ales creating an experience rather than "just a beer."

Bottomless Brewing

Hand-crafted micro brews designed for taste, smoothness, and quality.  At Bottomless Brewing in Geneva, NY, each beer recipe uses only the finest hops, barley, Seneca Lake water and other ingredients to combine for a top quality brew. From aroma to hops/malt balance they provide a tasty brew.  At Bottomless Brewing Micro-brews, the glass is always half full.

Two Goats Brewing

Two Goats has a simple philosophy when it comes to making its delicious farm-style beers: fresh beer made from quality ingredients tastes better. It's an idea so pure and simple, there's no need to give them long descriptions full of overworked adjectives. If you get stuck, just point and grunt at one of the taps. They'll set you up. Cheers

Middle Ages Brewing

Middle Ages Brewing Company is the longest continuously running, full production brewery in Syracuse. It has been locally owned and operated for 20 years and produces some of the locals' favorite beers like Syracuse Pale Ale, Impaled Ale, Wailing Wench, Swallow Wit, and Dinosaur BBQ's House Beer - Ape Hanger Ale. Middle Ages is inspired by traditional British brewing techniques and all of the beers are handcrafted using only the finest ingredients including malt imported directly from England.

Willow Rock Brewing Co.

We focus on American style craft beers, but usually, have other styles available in our taproom in the form of seasonals and limited edition releases. Check out our award-winning, flagship, and new beers on tap.  Willow Rock Brewing Company has partnered with the Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) to re-introduce Congress beer. Congress was one of the most popular local beers in Syracuse history. Congress was initially brewed by Haeberle Brewery from 1857-1962

IBU Teaching Brewery

Syracuse's first and only teaching brewery. IBU is a place for learning, fun, and high quality beer.  Mike wanted to offer homebrewers the opportunity to learn about the process of homebrewing with other people in a hands-on atmosphere, from experts in each discipline. He wanted to introduce people to the art of homebrewing without the commitment to purchase the equipment first.

Blue Tusk

The Blue Tusk in Syracuse's Armory Square was established in 1995 as an outpost during the Great Craft Beer Revolution with the mission of providing flavorful, heady refreshment and tasty gourmet munchies.  Twenty-two years, three expansions and 69 craft beers on tap later we are proud to say The Blue Tusk mission is going strong and we're still glad to be part of The Revolution!

Eastwood Brewing Company

The Eastwood Brewing Company in Syracuse has been serving a variety of craft beer styles for over three years in the Syracuse area. Join us at our tasting room to sample our beers.
